“Mama, ich freu mich so auf meinen fünften Geburtstag! Und da lade ich dann den Tim, den Christopher, den anderen Tim, die Mara, die Chiara, den Franz, den Johann, den Noah, den Dominik, den Oskar und … ein!“, höre ich meinen bis jetzt noch vier Jahre alten Sohn sein baldiges großes Fest freudig planen. Kindergeburtstage sind für Kinder einfach toll. Das soll ja auch so sein. Für mich bedeuten sie erst mal Stress. Aber davon sollen die Kinder gar nichts mitbekommen. Schließlich ist es ja ihr Ehrentag.
Irgendwann kursierte mal die eiserne Regel, dass man so viele Gäste einlädt, wie man Lenze zählt. Wir sind seit dem vierten Geburtstag davon abgekommen. Denn spätestens seit mein Sohn im Kindergarten ist, hat er mehr Freunde als er Jahre alt ist. Aber was machen, an besagtem fünften Geburtstag und das Mitte Januar? Ich scheue mich davor, die wild gewordene Horde quer durch’s Haus toben zu lassen. Danach kann ich unsere vier Wände erst mal generalsanieren lassen! Eine kleine Abkühlung vor der Türe ist sicherlich auch nicht drin. Die Vergangenheit hat gezeigt, dass es meist schlechtes Wetter war. Da würde ich selbst den Hund nicht vor die Türe schicken. Ein Besuch im Hallenbad vielleicht? Das ist aber auch nicht so leicht umsetzbar. Sicherlich würde sich die eine oder andere Mama noch anschließen, um unterstützend beiseitezustehen. Aber die Verantwortung für zehn kleine Nicht- beziehungsweise Gerade-erst-Schwimmer ist mir einfach zu groß. Was tun?
Die Rettung heißt Indoor-Spielplatz. Hier lässt es sich so richtig gut feiern. Und Spaß haben kann man allemal. Bei uns ganz in der Nähe gibt es eine wirklich sympathische Anlage mit allem, was das Kinderherz begehrt. Die haben faire Preise, das Restaurant kocht mit Bioprodukten und die Spielgeräte sind sauber und gepflegt. Mein Sohn ist von meinen Vorschlag begeistert. „Mama, dann kann ich ja auch noch den Sebastian, den David, den Max und die Leonie einladen!“
