Für mich war klar: „Auch mein zweites Kind wird gestillt!“ Egal, welch abenteuerliche Odyssee ich mit meinem Erstgeborenen hinsichtlich des Stillens hinter mir hatte. Zuerst lief damals die Milch nicht richtig, dann hat mein kleiner Liebling die Brust als Dauernuckel entdeckt. So saß ich manchmal, es war ja mein erstes Kind und ich konnte ihm einfach nichts abschlagen, eine Dreiviertelstunde bis Stunde mit dem kleinen Wonneproppen an meiner Brust da. An entspanntes Stillen unterwegs war unter diesen Umständen gar nicht zu denken. Trotzdem habe ich diese intensive Zeit mit meinem kleinen Sohn genossen. Als ich dann nach einem halben Jahr den Schlussstrich unter das Stillen gezogen habe, ist mir doch die eine oder andere Träne über die Wange gerollt. Der Übergang vom Stillen zur Flasche lief ohne Komplikationen, und zwar von heute auf morgen. Der Kleine bekam von seinem Papa das erste Mal die Flasche, und hat sie sofort in sein Herz geschlossen. Mamas Brust war von nun an vergessen.
Mit meiner Tochter, meinem zweiten Kind, kam dann alles ganz anders. Auch sie habe ich gleich nach der Geburt an die Brust gelegt, und oh Wunder, das Stillen klappte von Anfang an. Ob es an einer gewissen Routine lag, oder einfach daran, dass ich entspannter an die Sache ran ging? Ich weiß es nicht, aber es war alles relativ unkompliziert. Sieht man einmal davon ab, dass meine Tochter eines der neugierigsten Wesen auf diesem Planeten ist und sie bei jedem kleinen Geräusch ihr Köpfchen in die Richtung des Geräuschverursachers drehen muss.
Mein persönliches Abstilldatum habe ich mir wieder nach sechs Monaten gelegt. Nun ja, das war mein Plan. Den Plan meiner Tochter habe ich dabei nicht mit einkalkuliert. Heute ist die Kleine knapp neun Monate und an Abstillen ist nicht zu denken. Meine kleine Prinzessin verweigert die Flasche. Ich möchte fast sagen, sie hat eine regelrechte Aversion dagegen. Am liebsten kuschelt sie an Mamas Brust, um dort nach einer kleinen Mahlzeit einzuschlafen. Tja, manchmal kommt eben alles anders als man denkt …
Wie klappt das Stillen bei Ihnen? Alles ganz unkompliziert oder eben doch eine Philosophie für sich?
