Meine Güte, es ist mir heute noch peinlich! Es ist mittlerweile ein halbes Jahr her, als ich mit meinem damals vierjährigen Sohn beim Einkaufen war. Als wir gemeinsam die Einkaufstüten im Kofferraum unseres Autos verstauten, stand direkt neben uns eine sympathische ältere Dame, die genau das Gleiche tat. Plötzlich fragte mein Sprössling lautstark: „Mama, was hat die Dame für dicke Striche im Gesicht?“ Erst einmal wusste ich gar nicht, was der kleine Mann eigentlich meinte. Ich drehte mich kurz zu besagter Dame um. Danach war es mir schlagartig klar. Mir lief es gleichzeitig kalt und warm den Rücken herunter. Nicht etwa, weil die Dame gar so schauerlich aussah, sondern vielmehr, weil ich in akuter Erklärungsnot war. Diese gründete im Übrigen nicht darauf, meinem Sohn das Älterwerden und die damit einhergehende Faltenbildung näherzubringen. Sondern vielmehr darin, die wirklich sehr freundlich wirkende Mitsiebzigerin nicht zu kränken. Denn ich war mir in diesem Moment sicher, dass die Dame die Frage meines Sohnes gehört und verstanden hatte.
Wäre irgendwo ein Loch in der Nähe gewesen in das ich ganz schnell hineinhüpfen hätte können, um mich zu verstecken, ich hätte es auf direktem Weg aufgesucht. Die ganze Peinlichkeit hatte vielleicht maximal eine Minute gedauert, für mich waren es gefühlte 24 Stunden.
Jetzt hieß es schnell handeln. Als Antwort gab ich meinem Sohn, dass er doch bitte schnell einsteigen solle, dann würde ich ihm alles erklären. Als er mit der Frage ansetzte: „Aber Mama, was …?“, hielt ich ihm den Mund zu und legte ihm so schnell wie noch nie den Sicherheitsgurt des Kindersitzes an. Der kleine Kerl war vollkommen baff. Vor allem als ich ihn relativ durchdringend Nasenspitze an Nasenspitze ansah. Als ich die Türe neben dem jungen Herren ins Schloss fallen ließ, rannte ich förmlich zur Fahrerseite. An Anschnallen war im ersten Moment gar nicht zu denken. Für mich hieß es erst einmal, die Flucht zu ergreifen und zwar so schnell wie möglich.
Als wir endlich im schalldichten Raum und vor allem in sicherer Entfernung waren, ging ich ans Erklären der Themen Altwerden, Faltenbildung und vor allem sagte ich meinem kleinen Schatz: „Manchmal ist es besser, die Frage im Kopf zu behalten und die Mama erst später zu fragen, denn es könnte sich jemand dabei verletzt fühlen.“
Mussten Sie auch schon mal die Flucht ergreifen, als Ihr Nachwuchs eine brisante Frage im Beisein von Dritten stellte? Oder behalten Sie in solch einer Situation die Nerven?
